Default Elbow problem... anybody experience this???

Friday (I guess), I must have done something to my elbow. I woke up Saturday morning and it was stiff and sore, seemed like out of the blue. It felt a little swollen and I certainly couldn't come close to touching my shoulder. I thought that possibly, when I lifted myself out of the pool on Friday, maybe I twisted my body weight somehow and possibly did something but I wasn't aware of it at the time. Now, almost a week later, the ROM is coming back (can barely touch my shoulder) but just today it started kind of locking slightly so that, when I straighten it, it pops! It's severley restricted my lifting and now I'm mostly concerned about needing it in good shape to move furniture on about Tuesday. I've been moving boxes so I haven't been able to rest it but I haven't put much strain on it.

What's the deal???

Q,

If you've got some locking, get it looked at.

Ya know, I don't know if "locking" is the right term. Can you define locking better? My Internet searches have caused me to believe that maybe that term is too strong. I can bend my elbow... it just is sore, swollen somewhat and now pops when I try to straigten it... and I still need it Tuesday to move furniture unless any of y'all are volunteering! I put in a fence across the backyard today and planned to ice it afterward but margaritas and Mexican food got in the way!

Okay, a month and a week later, I haven't gone to anyone with this problem but I did try to rest it as much as I could... and it's still not "normal." A physical therapy student pointed out to me in the locker room that it was the connective tissue that's involved with pushing like pushing down against a wall or as in throwing. Not much problem pulling. I've heard it called "Little League Elbow" if that's indeed what's going on with my elbow. Since these areas require movement to circulate synovial fluid (? right fluid ?), I guess I would heal faster by continuing to rest and doing lots of things that use my elbow without stressing it...? I picked up a 95 Lb bar/weights over my head just to see how it felt and did five presses. It started clicking later in the afternoon.

This sucks to not be able to lift!

Perhaps you should get it looked at by a qualified medical professional considering the time frame of symptoms?

I don't know... maybe if I just give it a few more months...

I'm still waiting for my left ankle, left knee, right shoulder and lower back to get better and they were first in line. ... and I'm not kidding!
