Default I wish I were a good cook!

I was going to make my mother something for Mother's Day, and I know that this site has a lot of great cooks , any ideas???? I asked her favorite food and she said stuff peppers, and cherry cheese cake. Also, I will be making this probably tomorrow or the next day so it need to be able to be able to be refrigerated and still taste good. Finally, she is also on weight watchers. If you have a great mothers day recipe or if you are a mother and would like something made by your son any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow. No one EVER talks about cherry cheesecake! Now, two in one day!

I can hook you up with an easy cheesecake recipe, but I've never done the cherry part. I'd have to tell you to use canned cherry filling or google a cherry pie filling recipe to pour over it.

Are you looking for healthy cheesecake, low carb, no sugar, or just cheesecake?

Here's a pretty simple looking one from foodtv's Nigella Lawson. You don't have to bake this one, just like the SPAM cheesecake up in the first link, only this one looks tasty(er).

Recipes : Cherry Cheesecake : Food Network

She writes biscuits in the instructions, but there are none listed... duh. Use honey or plain graham crackers (no cinnamon), crushed up. If you don't know what a springform pan is or just don't have one, these would look great in 6 small dessert bowls instead of one pan. Plus, it's lots easier and harder to mess up the look.

Let me know if you want a real (baked) or lower cal/sugar/carb cheesecake. It's pretty easy, but not as easy as the one from foodtv.

I would suggest getting one of the pre made graham cracker crust from the store. Then use this cheesecake sub the cherry for apple. I have made the apple one many times for lots of people and its really good. Simple to make!

For Stuffed peppers I would suggest sausage stuffed peppers. You can use turkey sausage and brown rice in them.

Like wise if you need more cheesecake option let me know. I have a ton. They are not really low cal though, but I would think you could sub artificial sugar for the real thing.
