Default ?? Pac Choi, Tah Tsai mustard??

Usually I make my large vats of chicken soup with egg plant and curry, or cauliflower and farm style seasoning. Yesterday I added Pac Choi (NOT Bak Choi) and Tak Tsai from my garden. I keep thinking I should grow and like them. The second part, liking them never comes. We all demurred. But I will eat all of it for 1st breakfasts. (2nd breakfast with eggs with wife).

Question: is there any spice or herb that makes Pac Choi and Tak Tsai taste good. Mustard, curry, ketchup, soy sauce, sesame oil? I will experiment, it is a huge pot of soup, but no need to re-invent that wheel is someone knows.

This morning I remembered something, if all else fails add a large amount of chile powder (I keep Costco's on stock). Excellent. Not subtle. Now I can use up those green leaves in the garden. May plant some for winter garden.

I'll try that in the morning. Like I say, its a big pot of soup and intend on using it for breakfast for the next week. So some variations will be good. Besides chile, ginger (fresh of course) and soy are always favorites.

Pac choi has a much sharper taste to it than bok choi, or at least what came out of my garden did. From my wine tasting experiences I did note that the objectionable taste was more of a fore taste than an after taste.
