Hint on making bars
I am looking at making some home made protien bars. I want to use canned pumpkin, and my cookies and cream whey. I was thinking about trying John's protien bars, but using this stuff for subs.

I do pumpkin shakes all the time.
Canned pumpkin and protein powder makes a tasty pudding, too.

yep.
Some artificial sweetener and maybe some cinnamon or a shake of "pumpkin pie spice," too.
Chocolate and vanilla are both good.

Yes! Pumpkin! I had some pumpkin leftover in the fridge and made individual pumpkin cheesecakes tonight. I rarely measure but the recipe had;
-Canned pumpkin (1 cup or so)
-2 eggs
-Fat free cream cheese (8oz)
-Nutmeg
-Cinnamon
-Vanilla extract
Mixed it all together, put it in baking cups in a muffin pan and baked for about 25 minutes at 400C. Damn they're tasty.

Man I tried to make the the trail bars on one of the podcasts that I watched. I went out and bought all the ingredients and mixed everything up and the bars turned our horrible. They were all runny and oily and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. About a week later it hit me that I used fresh berries instead of dried berries....but I haven't attempted to remake them yet.

Sorry to hear they didn't work for you - those fresh berries must have made a real mess
Definitely give them a try with dried cranberries though - good stuff!

Not too portable, but they probably tasted good. Maybe heated up. Under a couple of scoops of ice cream...
