Default appples, peanut butter and cottage cheese- oh my!

Just when I thought I had run out of good ideas one dawned on me
You need
1. homemade applesauce
2. peanut butter
3. cottage cheese

You can skip 2 if you like.

Grate a red apple finely and simmer in a pan adding some cinnamon; cook till liquid evaporates. Cool off and mix with cup of cottage cheese and tbsp of all natural peanut butter. It's yum and a great breakfast or snack

I've been mixing applesauce and cottage cheese since I was quite young...it's one of my favs. Peanut butter would just add some healthy fats for sure...should give it a try.

cottage cheese/apple/cinamon/PB makes a great shake also.

Trust me, it's a lot easier than making cottage cheese!

My Mom makes and cans applesauce every year. Not only does it taste WAY better than anything from the store, but she doesn't use anywhere near as much sugar.

We don't use any sugar, apples are too sweet for me anyways.

I've made my own applesauce a few times. I like it a big chunkier than you can find in the stores. More sour, too. Granny Smiths and Pippins as the core, plus a few others for a bit of sweetness. Lots of cinnamon. Cardamom or ginger are good, too.
