Default McCarley's cookie recipe

This is my cookie recipe, although they're more like a meal bar or something. They're pretty darn good. Give'm a try and tell me what you think.

1 Raw Egg
1 Raw Banana
1 Tsp Vanilla
1/4 Tsp Baking Powder
3/4 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
1 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup Honey
1/2 Cup Oats
6 oz Dark Chocolate Chips

This is the first time i've used chocolate chips. They're a nice addition.

Did you bake them? Any nutritional breakdown?

My bad. Yes, I bake them at 325 until the edges get a wee bit crispy. The time itself seems to vary quite a bit.

So, this recipe sat in my desk drawer for almost a year and I made it this past week. I liked it. I doubled the batch and added some brown sugar because I ran out of honey. I used a combination of 1/3 white and 2/3 whole wheat flour because I was taking them to a function and didn't want to overwhelm the public with the earthy 100% whole wheat taste.
My oven did much better at 350-360 degrees. I think that the chocolate is a must.

Thanks McCarley.

Glad you like them. I'd agree that for people who are not whole wheat eaters you'd want to change it up a bit. My mother in law did the same thing.

I put the recipe in Nutribase and came up with the following (I assumed 8 servings):

calories: 517.98
protein: 12.06 g
carbs: 78.88 g, incl 6.15 g fiber
fat: 20.18 g, incl 5.69 g saturated fat

overall ratio was 9 - 58 - 33 (PCF)

For comparison, Chips Ahoy are 5 - 51 - 44, with about half the fiber and more saturated fat per the same caloric quantity.
