Supershake Recipe: Pineapple Ginger Supershake
Most of my Supershakes are barely drinkable. I keep them in the cooler of my car, pinch my nose, and slug them back. Then back to work...
This one is good. I'll be making it again.
Pineapple Ginger Supershake
1 ring of pineapple (unsweetened)
1 medium carrot, snapped into chunks
1 wedge of lemon (the whole thing, skin and all)
1 quarter size slice of ginger, peel cut off
water
1.5 scoops vanilla protein powder*
1 packets artificial sweetener
1 tbls flaxseeds (ground into meal)**
6 ices cubes or more
Put pineapple through water in blender and blend until smooth. You can put flaxseeds in at this time, too, but you're better off adding preground meal.
Add the rest of the ingredients and blend it up.
Drink.
* You're looking for the amount of protein you want. I want 30g in my shake, so my powder takes 1.5 scoops to get to 30g.
** If you have meal, already, it's probably more like 1 1/2 tbls. Just put some in and move on... I grind my seeds in a spice grinder.
