Default Steak Sauce...

So I just made a lean steak for lunch, and experimented a bit with a recipe I saw.

In a pan, dump about 5 shots of whiskey or red wine in and let the alcohol cook off. Add a bunch of black pepper, sliced mushrooms, onions, and a bit of water or stock. Let it reduce to a nice thick sauce, and dump over your steak. Oh man...

That sounds really good!

Can I have a few extra shots on the side though?

Admitting you want a shot is the first step in solving the problem. Deciding on Whiskey or Tequila is the Second.

Not much of a decision really.

But I am a whiskey man.

I have seen the world through the bottom of both bottles unfortunately. Hopefully as I have aged I have become smarter as well.
