Default High Protein Breakfast for a fast day

I had this for breakfast on Ash Wednesday, as my one meat-free meal on a fast day.

1/2 cup plain lowfat yogurt
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1/3 cup berries (I use frozen mixed berries, but anything will do)
1 Tbsp flaxseed meal
1/2 cup Bear Naked Peak Protein granola

Stir the protein powder and yogurt together. Wait a few minutes to let the whey hydrate, and stir to get rid of any lumps.

Add the berries, flaxseed, and granola. You could use any sort of granola but the protein count will be lower, or you could substitute another high-protein cereal. This is really more a general idea than a recipe. You can mix and match ingredients as you like, perhaps different fruit or another flavor of whey, or add a tablespoon of wheat germ.

442 calories, 15 g fat, 41 grams carbs, 38 grams protein. Calorie ratio is 31/33/36 so it's pretty close to TAP's 33.3% even ratio. 6 g fiber.
