Hi all,

I have been to a whole bunch of Calorie counting sites and they all have wildly different numbers when it come to Chiken breast. Its driving me nuts. Two questions:

What is the actuall Cals,Pro,Fat of a Boneless, Skinless, Chicken Breast COOKED weight is 100grams?

Do you measure the weight of rice cooked or raw?

Cheers

Hefty:

See if the place you're buying from has figures. I know that the numbers listed for the chix breast I buy vary somewhat...the mass breasts I get at sam's club have a lot of sodium in them whereas the free range don't since they aren't injected with sodium before freezing. Protein and stuff should be able the same.

With the rice check the packaging...it's usually uncoked.

Cheers back to ya!

The chicken is no brand. Its just fresh packed in Glad wrap stuff.

From the net I collected this:

85 Gram piece of Skinless, Bonless Grilled Chicken:

Site1: Calories: 98.6 Protein: 18.53 Fat: 2.7
Site2: Calories: 142 Protein: 26.7 Fat 3.1
Site3: Calories: 140 Protein: 26 Fat: 3.0
Site4: Calories: 120 Protein: 24 Fat: 1.5
Site5: Calories: 130 Protein: 28 Fat 1.5
Site6: Calories: 141 Protein: 26 Fat: 3.9

So which one should I choose? OR should I just take an average of all these?

And I guess you weigh the chicken meat AFTER its cooked?

Thanks for the help.

Ok 1 last question. Most measures of chicken breast I see are 80 to 85grams. Is that the standard serving or breast size in the USA? Because the standard chicken breast cooked here would be at least 180 grams. I guess a 180 gram piece of chicken is overkill in one meal.
