I've tried ground buffalo meat and find it quite good. It's smoother and more mild tasting than beef, in my opinion. Never tried ostrich.

I eat both buffalo and ostrich. Both have the texture (and look -- yes, ostrich is dark red) of beef and can be cooked like beef. Typically the meat is either ground or prepared for stews, kabobs and a like because it is really low fat and can be kind of tough. However, they are flavorful and very healthy just be really careful not to overcook them or you'll have quite the workout for you mouth.

I love both of them. I could seriously eat them every day and not get bored. They can be used in anything from burgers to pizza toppings. enjoy the goodness of the game meat

Never had buffalo, but ostrich is awesome. Fuddrucker's makes a decent ostrich burger. Now venison, I'll have a field day on

Ok so I did try the Bison meat, very lean, but its really good.

It was a pretty big piece of meat in a whole wheat pita with some lettuce and cucumber. Went down nicely.

Tried and love both. I love a juicy, rare ostritch steak! Tastes a lot like beef really. I would eat it a lot more often if it were served anywhere in LR. I also like Bison in either steaks or burgers, and I can get those here.

Fortunately I live in Alberta canada, Canada's Texas. Oil, cowboys and cows.

End result, good steak, and hey we have a thriving buffalo farming community meaning I can't go to a grocery store for the most part and buy it, but there is a fair number of butches that carry the meat or sell freezer packs of bison.

I can get ground bison at my local grocery store, which I buy when I need ground beef.
