Ok, so i bought cottege cheese to just try it out because I know it's a good snack. But I have no idea what to eat it with. Like what I should add to it...Any and all suggestions welcome.

I like mine sweetened. I add Splenda and cinnamon. Not very exciting, but it tastes good. I also prefer 1 or 2% fat instead of low-fat, which doesn't taste that good.

Personally I like the taste of it plain (unlike most people it seems) but try out adding some tomato sauce and some oregano or some taco seasoning and heating it up for 30 seconds in a microwave. As well, just adding CC to a lot of existing foods works well, like in a salad or in some ground beef.

I like it plain, but also like a dessert.

Cinnamon and sweetener. From there I add one or more of the following: raisins, baked apples, chopped almonds, chopped walnuts. Any combination is good.

Chopped berries or peaches.

I do not care for savory additions to cottage cheese, although I have had it in a salad before. Mostly, I stick to plain and slightly sweetened add-ins.

I like to use Cottage cheese in a shake. I combine 1/2 cup of Cottage Cheese, 1 scoop of Whey, 1 cup skim milk, and blueberries in a blender (I'll add some flax meal if it is not a pwo shake).

It is a tasty shake.

I mix mine with yogurt and berries and sometimes sunflower seed or pine nuts...but then again I like it plain too.

Try it in a "super shake":
2 scoops vanilla Muscle Milk
1/2 cup curds
1 cup frozen berries
1 tbsp greens+
a little ice and about a cup of water

Blend on high and enjoy.

I use it in shakes all the time. Even my son will eat it (he assumes it's yogurt).

1 cup cottage cheese
1-2 servings frozen berries or peaches
Splenda, Equal, etc.
water and ice to thin to desired consistancy

1 cup cottage cheese
1 serving peanut butter
1 banana (optional)
Splenda, Equal, etc.
water and ice to thin to desired consistancy

I've even taken these and poured them into those kids "popsickle" molds for a frozen treat. I even have a little ice cream maker that I'd like to try out at some point. I love treats.

I make a similar shake, and my kids love it. We call it our Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie

1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup raspberries (or blackberries)
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 tablespoon of honey
water and ice as desired

I don't like the lumpiness of cottage cheese so I always put mine in the food processor to make it smooth. Here is what I always make...tastes like blueberry cheesecake..mmmm

1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
2 tsp sugar free/fat free dry vanilla pudding mix
1 Tbsp skim milk

Mix all of the above in a food processor or blender until smooth. Refrigerate for about 1/2 hour to let the pudding set.

Topping:
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1 tsp lemon juice
1 to 2 packets of Splenda

Cook this on the stove over medium heat, stirring continuously, for about 8-10 minutes. The juices will come out of the blueberries and the mix will remain a bit chunky. Be careful not to overcook. Let cool and pour over top of your cottage cheese mixture.

P.S. I usually just make the entire container of cottage cheese and keep in the fridge for the week.

I like it plain too. I have eaten the stuff since I was a kid. However, I made the BIG mistake recently of buying some dry curd stuff. I will not, repeat not, make that mistake again. Truly nasty.

K....your momma raised you funny. I tried it plain for the first time a few days ago. There is no way I'm doing that again.

Mixing it in a shake is the only way to go.

I like the regular stuff plain as well, or sweetened or with fruit or whatever.

I personally switched to the dry curd stuff a couple of months ago because of it's FAR lower salt content.

Is it as good? No it's ass. But I choke it down anyhow. I am still searching for a way to make it really edible.

Hot damn TG! You are awesome!! Your 'cheesecake recipe' really tastes like cheescake. Mmmmmmmmm. My new favorite flavoring for cottage cheese will be fat free/sugar free pudding! THANKS!

I throw in raisins and crushed pineapple in it from time to time. Most of the time I eat it plain, had trouble the first few weeks but now it's not a problem. I actually enjoy it plain.

I'll toast a slice of ww bread, put a few thin slices of tomato (fresh from the garden....MMMmmm), then cover with a layer of cc, and sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes or some variety of Mrs. Dash (tomato basil garlic is good, as is southwest chipotle). My "breakfast pizza," so to speak.
Haven't "graduated" to eating cc with fruits, yet, but....it seems popular enough,, will have to give it a try.
