Question

We are heading into the holidays and the weight gain is on! On my TV show here in Little Rock I am going to be featuring healthy recipes. Anyway, I have a 5 minute time slot to fill to finish my first show and I want to feature a recipe from one of you. I will make sure to give you credit for it on the air if I select your recipe. Come on people... Send 'em up! Think holiday food and healthy for someone trying to get/stay lean through this difficult season. Thanks in advance!

Ask Johnka for his granola bar recipe..... although it may still be in 'proprietary' mode. It rocks!

PS: Who wants to be mentioned on TV? Most of the guys here would prefer a date with your TV friend Holly (don't remember her last name - something like Goodhead).

Try my spiced nut recipe in the healthy recipe section. I brought them in to work and one person called them Christmas Nuts. LOL

They are real easy too!

I'm not sure if that this is completely healthy, but it's much better than most fare at holiday parties....

I use the dough recipe from the pizza post to make an appetizer of cheese stuffed bread. I take 1/2 the dough from the recipe and wrap it around 8-12 oz of Brie or Cambert cheese (comes out round on top/flat on the bottom, like a ball with 1/2 the air missing). Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes (until crust is noticably browned).

It's not the best recipe for you, but it's one of my favorites over the holidays

ice cubes
egg nog
dark rum

Mmm, mmm, good!
