Well, after reading all these other fantastic recipes, I figured I should at least post my very simple protein shake. I've tried others, but this is the only one I genuinely enjoy, and it's ridiculously simple.
Chocolate Banana PWO Shake:
1 Large Banana (8-9inches)
1/2 cup skim milk (I use lactaid)
1 scoop chocolate Designer Whey
2 cups ice cubes
Toss everything except the whey in the blender. Use the chop setting (or other lowest setting) to chop everything up, then boost the power up a setting or two. Open the lid (don't worry, you'll be alright, just breathe) and pour in the powder and any other supps (i use creatine and glutamine). Turn the blender up to full power. Now, if you've used the correct amount of ingredients, the blending shake should read about 4 cups. Leave the blender on high till it increases to about the 5cup mark (this will take a few minutes) to get a very nice "milkshake" texture. Enjoy! This is a relatively low-cal pwo shake for those who are cutting. The large amount of ice makes this very filling as well, and allows better absorption of the whey.
