Posting one line at a time would take a long time to make a point.
Even if you hit enter at the end of the line it would be annoying.
I'm posting this from work using IE and so far do not have any problems.
Of course, it could be that the problem doesn't happen until you click enter.
By the way, I'm using the quick reply box rather than the post reply button if that matters.
Seems to allow multiple lines.

editing seems to work
multiple lines are ok.
not having the issue here
Karla's Post: Stall in Firefox. Went IE7. Very slow but it took. Went back after no Firefox post. Couldn't post in IE7. So back to Firefox with these experiments.
This post is from IE7. Since I don't have anything else to say, I'm just going to type random:
Long line: this is a random paragraph. I am just going to type and type and type and type and type and type and type and type until I get to more thean 3 lines. Type and type and type and type and type and type and type (Can you see that I have nothing useful left to add). Oh, I'm hungry but don't know what I want to eat.
There doesn't appear to be any slowness or lag in preview or posting using IE7 now.
Before submitting this, I tried to post it using Firefox (both with and without Adblock) and couldn't.
I was able to post today unimpeded. I'll update if I go back to the stalling:

Something along the lines of what Mike Huckabee did in Arkansas.
That is bizarre. Well, some good news is that we just got a brand new web master who can fix weird problems like this. I have to make him an admin tomorrow and I will direct him to this thread (and a few others in this subforum).
Are any of you using the WYSIWG editor? If so have you tried turning it off with teh button in the upper right hand corner? It should say "switch editor mode".
If there's a JS conflict that could be the source of the problem.
