Default urlseek link issues?

Sometimes when I click a link on the forum, say to the next page in ta thread, I get 'page not found', and then I'm directed to http://urlseek20.vmn.net/search.php?q= *insert url that it was supposed to link to here*

The url that shows up in the linky bar on the bottom left when I hover on the links looks fine, but somehow it doesn't really link where its supposed to...

Does anyone else have this too?

Hm... What thread were you posting in when that happened? Post a link and I will check into it.

I've gotten "Page Not Found", but I haven't noticed any links. Then I go back, and click something else or just manually change the page (for example, the end of the URL may have page 1, so then I type the number 2 in for 1).

Was reading a training log: http://forums.jpfitness.com/challeng...l-fifteen.html
Last time it happened was when I clicked on the '2' at the top right, where it sais 'Page 1 of 8', I get the error. 'copy link location' gives me 'http://forums.jpfitness.com/c hallenge-training-logs/showthread.php?t=36814&page=2' as the url, but when I actually click it, it links to page not found.

I've had it before, when clicking links within the forum to other forum pages, that it redirects to an urlseek page. Seems to me like a forum or server configuration problem.

Weird, 1 minute ago it did what I said above, now it just states 'page not found' without redirecting to the urlseek page.

Something funky is going on with Elisabeth's log.

If you look at a post, what used to be icons shows up as words.

It's because you're posting at 2am

Ah, the urlseek thingy seems to be a local issue, I don't have it at work. There I just get a 'page not found'. Haven't come across any other threads that have the same problem though, so may indeed just be a problem with that one thread.

Edit: oh, the log seems to be fixed, hurray

problem may have something to do with how many posts on a page you have set in your preferences. If someone has… say 10 posts per page set and then they're on page 8 and send you a link to a post that's on page 8 for them… and you have it set to 20 posts per page (which would be page 4 for you) and there aren't actually 8 pages of posts at your 20per setting… you'd get an error.

There's a few other oddities going on, but that's what it sounds like a problem may be in this case.

Hm, its defenitely an error on my side, not on the forum itself.. I'm at home now, and it gives me errors again. Its fine when I'm at work. I guess this thread can be closed.

Weirdness.. I'm not the only one who has it, I linked my log to a friend, and he has the same issues. I found the problem though.

When you click the link in my signature, it links to http://forums.jpfitness.com/training...me-my-log.html
from there on, all the 'page' links are borked.

When you click the 'reload' link on the top left of the page, under the breadcrumb, it links to The Dairy Farm, and then the page links DO work! I tried this same tactic for the other log I have problems with, and the workaround works for that one, too.

My SEO links aren't working right now. When I get it fixed again you will have to edit your links again.

Fixed it. You'll definitely need to edit your links. Sorry about the inconvenience.
