you have to upload your photo to a photo sharing site or other web server and then make reference to the URL in your post.
The only exception is if you want to use a picture you have as your forum avatar - when you go through that process it will load up the picture to an internal location.
You should be able to attach a pic using the paper clip icon above the text window. It needs to be a gif or jpg. Other than that follow Lisa's advice and load your photos in one of the many free photo sharing sites and hotlink directly to it using the picture icon (the yellow button with the mountain in it).
In what way you want to post pic? And where you are going to post your pic?
Here is how I post my pic here: I simple click the "insert image" button and provide the image url of the picture I want to put.
