Okay..........Now I'm back to what I think is the NEW forum. Can anyone tell me how to figure out if you are at the .org or .com site? Everytime I look at the addy it says .com.........but, this morning, I was on the original thread and now I'm on the new one.

Ok, I am now at the point where I can go back and forth between the 2 different versions of the site. If I go to jpfitness.org I am on the new site, BUT all links still point to jpfitness.com which takes me to the old site.
In order to actually log into the .org version I had to modify the login link to point to .org, or else I got an error message. This is true for any link that I click on within the site.
I have not worked with vbulletin before so this is just a guess. But there must be a configuration setting in vbulletin to change the root of the site from .com to .org that would fix all of the links.
Why go to .org? I brings you back to .com, just go to .com. Maybe I am confused because it seems convuluted to even acknowledge the .org if it is being cranky.

Because when I go to the .com site i cannot see new posts, including this one and my previous reply.
I was under the impression that .org was the new address and everything would be pointing there eventually.
Maybe I misunderstood something.
Correction: NOW I can see new posts when I go to .com., but I swear I couldn't 5 minutes ago.
I think the .org is there to direct people to the .com. If we have it, someone else won't have it just to do something nefarious. I *think* that is the case.
I'm not sure what I did, but at 8:30pm est, I just managed to unintentionally bounce into a portal to the alternate universe. Was going to the NROLW board, and all of a sudden it was all old posts and not the same ones listed as "last posted" from the main menu... clicked back onto the main JP site and I'm back and got to the right board the next try... but for what it's worth, seems like some links are still a bit funky.

I was replying to a thread and when I hit post quick reply I got the message that I had "no thread". the message said if I had followed a valid link to click and send a mail to the admin - so I did. the mail bounced back.
Here is the bounce-back info:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at gateway05.websitewelcome.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
: :
199.227.55.122 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable or not local
Giving up on 199.227.55.122.
paste apparenty doesn't like this part - where the : is , the address < webmaster @ jpfitness.com > (but properly formatted w/out spaces) appears
I haven't been to bizarro world recently, but I don't think the problem is fixed.
I did a whois on jpfitness.com and jpfitness.org and looked at the responses I get back from dig talking directly to your DNS servers, so my local caching should be a non-issue.
This is what I found:
NS1.FVGWEB.COM says
forums.jpfitness.com. 3600 IN A 67.18.213.26
NS2.FVGWEB.COM says
forums.jpfitness.com. 5 IN A 74.53.227.146
NS383.WEBSITEWELCOME.COM says
forums.jpfitness.org. 14400 IN A 67.18.213.26
NS383.WEBSITEWELCOME.COM says
forums.jpfitness.org. 14400 IN A 67.18.213.26
Also FWIW, the websitewelcome.com DNS servers say (authoritatively) .com is at 74.53.227.146, but since those aren't listed in the whois record for jpfitness.com no one should be querying those. The only people affected by that are, presumably, people waiting for the site to propagate... and they would always go to the old site.
To summarize, the problem is that the primary and secondary DNS servers listed in the jpfitness.com whois entry do not agree. I think the secondary is wrong, but I don't know for sure. You and/or your guys ought to be able to tell.
I hope that helps some.
Lemme guess. You stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I will ask Susie to assist me in looking into this.
I'm seeing a lot of "hang ups" especially down in the log part of the board. The header will load but the threads/posts never come in. I get a Done message on the status board, but nothing appears in the browser (IE7) other than than the header. I've been trying to get into this thread all afternoon to post about it.

It's not doing it any more, but it was pretty annoying there for a while
