It's obviously flip flopping us between two databases/servers still.
That seems to be it. This morning put up a run in the Runners Forum and then later I posted my workouts in the training forum from eariler this week. When I signed on my workouts were logged but not my race report. Then I logged on again and now my training log isn't there but the race report is.
Will the 2 data bases be merged when this is done?

Hello, I've edited the DNS zone file on the old server to forward all requests to the new dedicated server, users should no longer be hitting the old server during the propagation period. This should resolve your issues.
Please let me know if you see this does not fix it.
I just got the below email from the engineers... hopefully that issue is solved... if not, please let me know and I will get VBulletin involved.

I haven't been to bizarro world recently, but I don't think the problem is fixed.
I did a whois on jpfitness.com and jpfitness.org and looked at the responses I get back from dig talking directly to your DNS servers, so my local caching should be a non-issue.
This is what I found:
NS1.FVGWEB.COM says
forums.jpfitness.com. 3600 IN A 67.18.213.26
NS2.FVGWEB.COM says
forums.jpfitness.com. 5 IN A 74.53.227.146
NS383.WEBSITEWELCOME.COM says
forums.jpfitness.org. 14400 IN A 67.18.213.26
NS383.WEBSITEWELCOME.COM says
forums.jpfitness.org. 14400 IN A 67.18.213.26
Also FWIW, the websitewelcome.com DNS servers say (authoritatively) .com is at 74.53.227.146, but since those aren't listed in the whois record for jpfitness.com no one should be querying those. The only people affected by that are, presumably, people waiting for the site to propagate... and they would always go to the old site.
To summarize, the problem is that the primary and secondary DNS servers listed in the jpfitness.com whois entry do not agree. I think the secondary is wrong, but I don't know for sure. You and/or your guys ought to be able to tell.
Wow this is getting frustrating. I just tried posting in this thread, it said I wasn't logged in. When I refreshed the page it changed back to the other database. 8:00 AM EST.
Well, last night I updated my training log with 3 days worth and now it's all GONE! Will I have to repost it again? Will this post even be seen? C'mon..... please help!
So are we fixed yet or not? I posted several days of workouts yesterday and they are gone. Not a big deal I just don't want to go in and repost until I know it is cleared up.

Ok... JP and I have been on the phone working to resolve the issues. I think we have them almost ironed out and they are in the process of being fixed now.
I still seem to be flopping back and forth from com to org, which one is it? I go to org and log in, it redirects me to com and thanks me, then takes me back to org but the main page still says I'm not logged in. Most of the links seem to still point to com, so should I still be pointing there? Or are you still moving to .org?
Edit: posted this on com, went to org and this post is there, but I'm not logged in so I couldn't edit it.

I just left JP's house - I have been working with him to get everything like it should be. I think our problem of any new post missing should be fixed now. I am working to recover the previous missing post from yesterday.

Thanks for all your work on the site. I know this must be even more frustrating for you than it is for us. Just letting you know we appreciate your hard work!
For anyone that is worried about losing posts. Open notepad and paste your post in there before submitting. I have a workout.txt file on my desktop for this purpose, just keep overwriting it as you add new posts and you will always have a backup.
I have one question related to losing posts. It seems like lateley I have been getting logged out of the site more frequently. I spend a lot of time formatting and typing my posts in the training log only to be told that I am not logged in when I try to submit. When I reload the page to log in I lose everything that I just typed. This is actually what made me start with the notepad backups in the first place.
If you have "remember me" checked when you log in, you actually shouldn't get logged out really, every time you do something you'd get effectively re-logged in.
it prolly is the whole weird thread id issue that is caused by the dimensional shift.
Otto's gonna make him a wormhole so he can be in whatever one he wants.
I've had threads I click on say "does not exist"... that's always irritating. esp when I just read it and am in the process of replying to it.
