Flagging posts

Who gets the notification when a post is flagged as spam/abusive/etc? Do individual PMs still need to be sent?

If there is no mod assigned to that forum, then an automatic email goes out to all mods and admin. If there is a mod assigned to that forum, then the email only goes to them.

But if you are on late and notice something ... and you also know a mod is online, then you can just PM that mod with a link.

Another question: when I flag a post by a particular user, it goes without a hitch; however, if I attempt to flag a second post by said user, I always get a screen saying to wait some random amount of time (5-60 seconds) before flagging again. I wait, attempt to flag, and get the exact same screen and time. I guess it doesn't much matter after the first flag, but I like hammering spammers as hard as I can.

Ben, I have been getting your alerts. I mostly delete them and let another mod take care of them though. Good thing I got to earn my mod status the old fashioned way - sleeping with the boss.

Rather than waking up the neighborhood with a post flag every time I see one (which is often), unless the mods have objections, I'll just post screen names here that are likely candidates for kick/ban.

You should just flag them. It sends a link to the post and thread in question.
