I have a stupid question about putting in a signature.
I would like to put a link to my progress log in all my posts as I see others do. I know where you put in a signature in your profile, but I can't figure out how you guys get it to show up so that it just says "My Progres Log"....and it's a clickable link.
1. Click the quick link button, and click on "edit signature".
2. In the text box, type in "my progress log", or whatever you want the link to show up as.
3. Now, go to your log in another browser, and copy the URL.
4. Back to the edit sig browser. Highlight the "my progress log", and push the hyper link button. It's under the white smiley face.
5. A window will pop up, asking you to enter the url. Now, paste in the log's url.
6. Save the signature.
Hope this helps.

Once you've got that working, edit your signature again. Click on the little a/BIG A box in the upper right of the edit window. Add the text "-new-post" just before the ".html" and then save it.
I messed these up, below, so you can see the actual text, but you can hover your mouse over the two above and see the difference in the status bar of your browser (down at the bottom of the screen).

This takes anyone who clicks on it, to the newest post since they last stopped by your log.

You're a genius and probably an underpaid one at that. Thanks from me, too!
Thank you so much for your stupid question! I had no idea either, and wasnt going to put a training log in. Now if I could only work out how to lodge my tax online...
since your sig is an advertisement for your fitness-related business you might want to run it by JP to get his A-OK to advertise on his site.
Thanks for looking out for the site, Lisa.
If it's not too over the top, I allow sig line links, as long as the member actually makes legit posts and contributes to the threads.
Spammers have gotten more clever lately, creating all kinds of spam links in their sigs and them posting some stupid comment on threads that they obviously haven't read. Those people are caught quickly and executed on the battlefield (banned forever), as well as their posts being deleted.
I checked out SDtrainer and it doesn't look like they're selling much other than a local service.
Keep this up though and I'm going to make you a mod!
