well I'm out of guesses then. I use Firefox at home and IE at work and neither has the problem. When I go to a long thread I haven't looked at in a while, I'll press the V-like icon from the new posts page, see the screen set to the first post on the page I'm going to end up on and then the screen will jump down to the new post for me that is on that page. Maybe yours isn't jumping? sometimes, the jump is pretty delayed, but I've assumed that is my connection. I almost never work from within the subforum pages so can't comment on if it works the same from there or not.

I use the same method as you. It's not that it doesn't jump down to that part. Sometimes it's 1 or more full pages behind.
