General Outdoor Fun DiscussionWhether you rock climb, kayak, snowboard, hike or hang glide, if you play outside and you play hard, come talk about it in here.
Darn, distribution on this film is not widespread. I'd need to make a trek downtown to see this and, as anyone who has kids can tell you, you are limited in the amount of time you're allowed off for good be....ummm, I mean, you can't leave them for too long.
Do you ever get a chance to see Touching the Void? It is great and will be part of my DVD collection when available. So much better than the Cliffhanger or Vertical Limit. This is the real stuff.
I read the book a few years ago. It's worth reading even if you see the movie.

Oops, sorry that I never saw your post months ago Joe.
Yes, I finally saw it on DVD and it rocks!! No wonder the story is part of mountaineering legend. Even my wife, not big into outdoor adventure type stuff, loved it. Two big thumbs up!
Yeah, I missed that question too somehow. I think I am more entertained by your animated gif than by that movie. I read some reviews, and the consensus was either it worked for you or it didn't. In this case, I just couldn't get into it. An amazing story, though. (I saw it in theaters, too)

Read the book if you have a chance. As usual, it's much better than the movie (I do own the book). What goes up must come down!
Nice, that should keep me entertained for another couple of hours
