I know a couple of you are eagerly awaiting my story from the Sierras... be patient, it is coming. But here are a few teaser photos I took on my trip:

Here is the gear that we brought

The trees up here there are HUGE!

First campfire...

This tree struck me as odd. I call it "Flea Man".

Geraldine Lakes in Sequoia National Forest

The obelisk taunts us from afar... "Can you climb me? Or are you just TOURISTS!"

Well, that was close enough for me... Back to the indoor gym where nary a mosquito may fly!

There are many more to come, I promise! Keep checking back in for more!

You're taunting us without actually providing any pics of the climb itself!

Looks like a pretty nice area you camped in.

That climbing gym is HUGE!!!!!! How many top roping stations does it have and how high is it? I thought our gym had a decent amount with 22 top ropes and 5 self-belays. But your's is monstrous. Is that in LR?

No, this is not the one in LR. That one is yet to be opened yet. I hope it looks kind of like this one, but it won't be as big. This was the "Iron Works Climbing Gym" in Oakland California. They have several world famous climbers who train there, including a brother/sister climbing duo who garnered noteriety for climbing in a restricted country a few years back, got captured, tortured, and escaped hiking and free soloing cliffs out of that region and finding their way to an American Embassy. There is also a guy who works out there who just recently broke the speed record for the Nose at El Cap, completing it in under 3 hours! It is a pretty hardcore group of climbers, I must say! I felt pretty pathetic struggling on my 5.9's.

This first pic is what 10 days of hiking and rockclimbing in the Sierras will do to your feet. Graphic... Sorry!

Here we are doing a little climbing in Berkeley Hills in - well - Berkeley, of course.
