Riverboarding anyone?
Just had to give props to my favorite sport. It is a great workout because he are basically swimming the rapids (with lots of safety gear and pads of course) on a big buoyant board. You get to feel the currents better because you are in the water instead of in a boat on top of it. It can be as gentle or extreme as the rivers you pick though a lot of people get into it looking for the rush.
