Hikes in VA and WV

Hi all -
Hubby and I live in PA and are scoping out places in VA or WV to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Since it's somewhat of a romantic trip, we'd like to stay in a B&B, maybe with a cute little town nearby and a nice place to eat dinner. We want to do a couple of day hikes. We love great views and we're willing to work for them, so I'd appreciate suggestions for long and challenging hikes!

It's been years since I hiked in those states and most of them were more of backpacking trips. I would normally say somewhere in the shenandoahs but as urban creep from DC has headed that way, you might be better off in WV. I used to go backpacking in the Dolly Sods/Roaring Plains areas which is just beautiful. You might look for B&B's in that area. Wish I could be more help which really means I wish I'd been hiking there recently.

I just got back from Ace-Adventure (in area of Oak Hill, WVA) and had a great time. They offer many activities and reasonable rates
