Default Insane Rock Climbing Guy

The Diesel Crew newsletter says "One of the most insane displays of grip strength ever filmed." Personally, I think "insane" says enough.

Dave Osman: One of the most insane displays of grip strength ever filmed.

Better to have too much information, than not enough.

We'll just do our part!

No doubt this was insane! But what a short life these free solo climbers have. One mistake, one rock flaking off and it's all over. But you can't say his brief life wasn't exciting as hell.

There was another free solo climber that died in Yosemite Nat'l Park, California a some years back.

In my early 20's, I free soloed a cliff at the base of Devils Tower, Wyoming. It was a hell of a thrill and not the brightest thing I ever did. I even hit my first overhang on the way up - pretty hairy moment.

Entertaining, yes. But also amazingly, incredibly stupid.

ON EDIT: According to Wikipedia, Mr Osman died in 1998. He carelessly decided to do a free fall on a week-old rigging.
