Default Enchanted Rock State Natural Areas Climbing Areas

I'm still just talking about climbing and haven't actually done s#*t yet so pardon my continued on-line fantasy.

My wife and I took our two relatively new pups to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area today. We like hiking to the top of the dome once in a while which is a very easy hike that hoards of people do all the time. Here's a pic from November, last year:

Sorry, we didn't really have any good ones but you can see that it's all granite and kind of see the layout... can't you?

Here's one from their website:

So, when I got there, I asked the Park Ranger about climbing because I knew it was a popular place. He said there were about 1,000 named routes. I found this map: Climbing Areas

I just thought the map was cool and it looks like a you could spend a LOT of time there as your skill level increased. I think there's a lot of guided climbs (right term?) out there so it should be fun...some day.

ODB, I bet a lot of Arkansas has great places. Got any links handy?

We have a place called Sam's Throne up in the Ozarks...

I've got photos of me on it around somewhere. Great climbing area and just one of many in Arkansas.

Enchanted Rock is a great place. I would like to check out their climbing routes sometime. I'm not an experienced climber at all, but still love it. Just don't let this happen to you.
