Default contsant twitching muscle in lower abs

Hi,

I get a muscle twitch very frequently - on and off for about an hour every day and its been happening on and off for a few months.

its always in the same place - lower abs right on the pubic line.

It's not at all uncomfortable, just wondering if there may be an underlying reason?

Hi Xanderd

Most times the twitch occurs as the muscle tires out - this can be form overuse, over-exercise or from general fatigue or tiredness. Nothing to worry about and if you rub the inside of your thigh just above your knee, there is a reflex there can stimulate the abdominals and should settle it in the next day or two.

Just rub in a circular motion for 20 seconds once or twice a day - not too hard, just firm pressure.

It should settle but it is nothing to worry about - very common in facial muscles also.

5 months old post - hopefully the twitch is gone by now.
