A better question is: what's causing the back pain?

Have you seen a doctor and had the pain diagnosed? It could be so many things: ruptured disk, pinched nerve, fractures vert, strained muscle, etc.

if you know what is causing it, that's a step toward knowing how to treat or cure it.

since I doubt that a herbal deficiency is the root cause it is unlikely to effect a cure.

Often, it's no more than 24 hours, but I've seen up to 48 hours.

Well it wont cure it, but you could try willow bark extract if your heart is set on an herbal remedy. Of course you could just cut to the chase and buy some aspirin...
