It's a problem with vascular hyperreactivity to stimuli. Find out what makes you flush/turn red and stop doing that. Common triggers: sun, wind, hot beverages, alcohol, spicy foods.... basically stuff that makes life fun.
Unfortunately, it's not curable. There is some recent literature that suggests using afrin (oxymetazoline) on the skin can help to constrict the vessels and make you less red; I have suggested it to a few patients but haven't yet gotten any feedback. Sunscreen is very important--you need a physical blocker w titanium or zinc; the chemical blockers tend to irritate rosacea prone skin.
