Default is there such a thing as too much cardio?!

Aloha,

I enjoy doing cardio three times a day for 45-60 minutes as it gives me an great excuse to watch tv and be healthy at the same time.

I usually run the interval program.

physically i feel great, but i ask myself, if there is such a thing as too much cardio.

am i burning fat with this?! i feel like i should as I keep my metabolism up all day. the only problem i have is it takes me forever to fall asleep as i am so hyper.

Merci,
Mark

Personally, I don't see a think wrong with doing "cardio" (aerobic energy system) for 45-60 minutes a day. If it feels good, do it!

Is burning fat your objective or are you just burning off steam because you're hyper? If you want to keep your metabolism up longer, then you need to add anaerobic energy system exercises such as weight training.

If you reach a state of catabolism, I'd say yes, it's too much.

OOOOPS! I misread that! I thought your total time was just 45-60 min/day! Please clarify!

I'm pretty sure it's not a typo, because later he says he thinks it keeps his metabolism up all day.

Cardiovascular activity produces more free radicals than other activities. Some people can deal with it and some can't. I won't go into supplements cause I am not a doctor but do a google search and you will see.
