Default Expert opinions on Titanium based sports enhancement products

Lately, I've been seeing alot of active wearers of titanium bracelet and necklace, even wrist and ankle support.

Are there any scientific basis on these? They appear to be originate from Japan and have rather exaggerated claims ranging from fatigue reduction, general wellbeing, sports performance enhancement and even reduction of pain. I am incline to disassociate myself from marketing hype but I've heard nothing but good things from many personal friends and associates. My mentor who I golf with suffered from carpal tunnel and various joint pains and he seems to play a better game nowadays after wearing those titanium wrist supports costing upward of $200.

Could it all be placebo effect?

Yes. But that doesn't mean it's not real.

Originating from Japan...

Do you know they believe eating tiger penis gives a man great virility? That's one of the main reasons those noble animals are nearly extinct.

I do not believe in voodoo medicine and you should not either.

are you sure you aren't thinking of china? i have never heard that of the japanese but have heard that of the chinese. which would make more sense since there aren't any tigers native to japan.the chinese also are known for their illegal trade of shark fins which is why many types of sharks are rapidly moving towards endangerment. but one of my favorite stories was a small village in china was selling various ointments and "medicines" that contained dragon bones. after they got pretty famous from it scientists went to investigate. turns out that the village had uncovered a dinosaur skeleton and thought it was a dragon. don't get me wrong the japanese culture has their fair share of old wives tales, superstitions and miracle cures but i think the tiger thing is chinese in origin.

as for the titanium thing. if it seems to good to be true it almost certainly is.
