I've got a hunch that these two items are connected. Anybody agree? Disagree?

And no, for now, I'm not about to say why the question is of interest.

Completely agree, which is why I think there's such a push for all these ED prescriptions. I'll share my own experience: for the past six months or so, I was staying up too late, getting up too early, and therefore not getting more than five or six hours of sleep per night (I won't go into why I wasn't sleeping; suffice it to say I wasn't). In addition to (or because of) this lack of sleep's effect on my physical training, I was literally not interested in sex, which put additional strain on an already-strained relationship (and we all know how THAT turned out).

With the morbid lack of fitness throughout our society (not to mention the figurative castration of men in general), it's no big surprise that guys are having problems performing, hence the hysteria over the "miracle" of ED drugs. Totally agree.

I'm pretty sure fitness counts alot.

Though overtraining might affect libido as much as being out of shape.

I definitely think they are connected. And not only in a chemical/physical way, but in an emotional way as well. Feeling more confident about one's body does a lot for one's self-esteem. Being fit, to me, means being confident in how I look and who I am. Besides, there's gotta be some explanation for why I am the way I am

I agree 200%. I think libido works both ways with partners - if you're feeling good because your self esteem is rocking because of your working out then your partner picks up on it.

For a lot of folks it's easier to pop a pill than to go to the gym. Me, if NOT popping a pill requires my having to be up at 4:45am to go to the gym so that (a) I can get in shape and stay in shape and (b) I don't have to pop a f**** paxil to stay sane then it's worth it. Cheaper, too. And the results are much better. Ok, people said my mood was better when I was fueled by Paxil but my new body has made ME feel much better.
