On friday I had an urge to go on a bender...and succeeded. Typically I'm a pretty good drunk. Don't normally *really* over-do it. But this was different somehow. About 2 hours in a huge wave of nausea hit...passed...all was well. 4 hours later we had an emergancy pull over which concluded with me barfing like I haven't in a long, long time. Figured everything was cool at that point...sleep it off things would be great.

Not so. I woke up about 4 times sweating like a fiend and my stomach knotted horribly. More puking come morning and more heavy sweating which all eventually went away.

I know it sounds like a typical stupid evening of drinking but that's never happened to me before (the sweating and stomach knotting enough to wake me up). Even that wouldn't particularly bother me except it was such a drastic change...one second everything's great, the next I'm having a near death experiance...everything's great...OMG I'm freaking dying!!

Did I just overdo it?

Unfortunately, I've had times like that...been a long time...but, it's happened. I think probably just really over did it. Are you feeling okay now?

sounds like you just overdid it my friend. did you have some things that you normally don't drink? like a load a shooters, mix alcohol and beer, etc? did you eat first? I used to like a shot or two of Cuervo every now and then, until I overdid it and felt exactly like you wrote...Jose and I are no longer speaking.

Sounds like a bad night of drinking couple with something dietary that your stomach wasn't expecting. It sucks to barf that much. The joys of the bender are long gone by that point.

Overall doesn't sound like a big deal.

thx guys. I know it sounds stupid but I was really freaked out.

I ate first and during but very likely wasn't as hydrated as I should have been. Also had several different kinds of beer which might have effected me a little different than what I was used to.

That kind of thing makes ya think real seriously about quiting drinking.

Cool

at least until next weekend

some of those beers can have a bit higher alcohol content than others too. I remember getting a 6 pack of some Dark Lager from Baltimore, man, I was seriously seeing double and a bit knock-knee'd.

That happened to me once. Went out to a party and drank heavily. I had eaten at some burger place earlier and felt sort of funky, I thought it was the heat outside. While I proceeded to get bombed I was snacking on a fruit tray sitting nearby. Around 1am I felt like I was going to pull a puke like the puppet in Team America. I ran out the back door, onto the porch and hung my head over the railing, staring 3 stories down. I felt it come....then I freaking belched like I've never belched in my life. After that all was well!

The worst drunk was when I blacked out, that was scary, waking up and not knowing who I was or where I was. I've never gotten that ripped again.

The worst\best drunk I've ever been on was when me and my partner in crime went to Vegas for a work trip. 160oz by 10am...after that we stopped keeping track. Stopped drinking roughly about 7am the next morning.

The only bad thing about that trip was when I got home I kept waking up in the middle of the night thinking I was in a bar...pissed off that I couldn't find my beer...then wondering why I was naked...then wondering who the naked lady beside me was.

good times, good times.
