Has anyone seen any studies on the relationship of stress to weight gain or loss? I would think it would take weight off, but in my circumstance I'm in a very stressful job situation and cutting, but my weight hasn't changed.

I think a lot of it depends on the person and how they deal with stress, I can't find any specific studies but I believe I heard that stress inhibits fat loss.

Some people respond to stress by eating less. Stress can shut down the appetite. As mentioned, the individual response will vary.

As Craig said, when I was in a stressful situation a few years back, I generally lost my appetite and lost fat and muscle.
