Default Crossfit Football

You pro strength coaches with your fancy pants periodization schemes better look out! Crossfit is going to take over football now!

They use recycled organic functional movements made from hemp.

Quote:
We use organic functional movements performed at high intensity to simulate the demands placed on an athlete during a football game. Football is a game of seconds and inches. CrossFit Football knows the demands placed on players during the game and the distances they will have to travel. With this in mind, we can replicate the stresses and situations a player will face on the field. By combining high intensity movements with a comprehensive strength and speed program, the result is a training program that is unparalleled in the industry.
How do we know CrossFit Football's programming works? Because it has been designed by NFL players and some of the top coaches in the world. Not only has it been created by top athletes, but it has been used to compete at the highest levels of professional sports. the utility of this program is not theoretical; it has not been designed by someone that thinks it might work, but by athletes and coaches that have dominated at the highest levels of competitive athletics.
The CrossFit Football program is designed to work for all players regardless of age or experience. The loads, distances, times, intensity, and programming can be scaled, and the program has been designed to meet the needs of athletes at all levels of training advancement.
Every football player needs to be strong in mind, heart and body. He needs to be fast and explosive. He needs to be able to perform when tired and exhausted. This applies to NFL players the same as it applies to Pop Warner.
CrossFit Football meets these needs, for all players.
Quoting a discussion of this elsewhere that about sums it up:
Quote:
CrossFuck is a joke. This football bullshit is fucking hilarious. Real players have coaches and real practices. The CF football site is for the tatted up, Tapout shirt wearing weekend warriors who play tag football at the park. I can't wait to hear these bitches crying about how running the 40 in less than 5 seconds isn't functional. The GPP warriors will be in shape to run water back and forth to the real players, but that's about it.

What's an "organic functional movement?" Is that in opposition to a non-functional movement that's been synthesized in a factory?

Chris, you need something to occupy your free time. I thought for sure that Hitler=Glassman was the moral of the story.

Aw, c'mon Bill it's all in good fun. Actually in that vid Adolf would be Glassman's arch rival (I didn't make the video).
He is such a ripe target, what with the gin belly, wild claims, and pseudo-scientific babble.

Someone stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park again. Much funnier if you know the story on the RRG insurance scam Glassman has cooked up since Crossfit is not able to get insurance.

*sigh*

Had a kid message me today about this "amazing" training program he used to get ready for camp... It was called Crossfit for Football

I have spent the last 30 minutes explaining why this is wrong, and what is correct...

I wish I could find the man responsible for this schlock and shoot them
