The program is pretty cool! I like it! It's easy to follow, I don't feel much deprived and the workouts are interesting!
It's a good thing that I take weekly pictures because I don't feel that much the changes. This is the bad part of not having that much weight to lose, I guess! But yeah, I don't regret having bought Leigh's package
I am doing the original OPT. Leigh never said you shouldn't refeed. My temperature drops quite easily, I feel lethargic after being on low cal for several days and it's well-known that refeeds are great for weight loss.
Actually, she has said numerous times that refeeds/cheats are not necessary or a part of OPT. If you want to do them, that's fine; I don't think you should still call it OPT, though.
May I know what you are looking for? Trying to piss me off or something? Please, go elsewhere. If you don't agree with what I do, then just leave this thread alone. Leigh told me I could refeed anytime I feel like shit or when my temperature goes too down. And HOW STRANGE, both happens after 5-6 days of being in a low cal diet. I already fucked my metabolism up last year because I wasn't refeeding at all and because I didn't take any diet break for several months that I'm not going to do the same mistakes twice. Then again, if YOU think that is not OPT, good for you. I think it is.
Dont let her get to you. I am doing the same as you. Not OPT exactly, but the protein requirements and calories come out to about the same. Following weight watchers points system, counting calories makes me overeat, and I have lost 4lbs in 2 weeks, WITH refeeds. So do them, and embrace them, esp since its working!!

hey there, quick question. what are your refeeds like?
ARe they like Lyle's flexible dieting guidelines? IVe been keeping mine clean, about 150g additional clean carbs once a week.
Actually, I'm one of those who don't really count when refeeding. I try to eat clean as much as possible, but sometimes I cheat too. It's also my off day when it comes to counting everything, so usually I just try to keep the fat as low as possible and eat as much carbs as possible.
I know for a fact that I eat way much more than just 150g over what I eat during the rest of the week.
Hey there! Your progress pics caught my attention.. we have very similiar body types, so naturally I was wondering how you have been doing. Still following the program? What is it like? I am on the fence on whether or not to purchase Leighs books as I have been on programs which sound like they may have been similiar. Anyways, would love to hear how you are doing.
Hello! I'm not really following the program anymore. I decided to only cut the calories to 1200 and have a refeed per week. I've lost a little more but don't have any pic available and I wouldn't post them as they're not part of OPT.
Well, Thanks J.P. I am currently debating which program to start. I just purchased Leighs fat loss troubleshoot and am not sure if I should go with her original opt or the opt remix. I am currently at about 18% bf (tested @ 15%-18%) and would like to get shredded for summer. I did nrol4w last year in a caloric deficit and saw great results until I got mono. The workouts in opt seem a bit sissy for lack of a better term, but I like how she couples caloric/macronutrient intake with specific workouts..Any words of wisdom out there? I guess I could start a thread in Leighs forum, sorry for the hi-jack mia.
Don't be sorry, this thread is dead anyway I'm no longer updating it. I keep my progress for myself (sounds like I gave up on everything but actually, I'm thinner than I've ever been in the last 2 years).

Then you should post some updated pics in a new thread and talk about what you did to get there. Inquiring minds want to know!
Well, I do nothing much besides taking regular walks and just eat about 1200 calories each day except for a cheat day where I don't count and don't care but don't stuff my face. I also don't stress out with macros. Maybe I'll post a pic once I'm satisfied with my body (which I don't know when it'll happen!).
