Divorce sucks,i just went through one but i gained weight and still can't get back on track.the problem is that we cant take the pain that our kids feel.....i'd gain or lose 100 pound just to take that pain away from my daughter.
Stay strong !maybe we can do a "GET YOUR BODY AND LIFE BACK AFTER DIVORCE"group.with storyes,pics....
Things are much better now for the record. That was last October when I made the original post.
Since then I have moved on, gotten my health back, and subsequently started working out with weights again, putting on about 10 pounds while maintaining 10.4% bodyfat (measured last week).
It's not a shirtless pose, but this is a current update of a healthier me:
I've also re-entered the fitness industry and hung up my attempt to be a medical device sales rep. I will never again own or manage a gym... There isn't enough money in the world to make me go back to that gig! I managed to get a fantastic new contract, so I'm very happy.
I'm sorry to hear about your divorce. Glad to have you back in Arkansas though. If you get down to LR look me up.
Lucky for me I just don't give a shit about being big anymore.
I do need to do something. I can't host a fitness forum and be a complete sloth, now can I?
I'll probably start doing something next month. I need to get my sea legs under me first. Speaking of legs, mine or wasted away... droopy sleeves of vestigial tissue that once resembled and functioned as legs.
I'm really sorry to hear about the circumstances but you look great man! I haven't visited in a very long time myself. I went on the similar "my wife left me" diet last summer. She did come back and we're working on it. I do know the feeling though. Like you, I don't give a shit about how big I am anymore either. I just want to be lean and healthy, both physically and emotionally. Good luck on your own path.
Thanks Michael. I'm doing pretty well now, for the record. It's been over a year since I got the Big Announcement, and it only took me till last June to get back up on my feet completely. I appeared back on my feet much earlier, but you know how looks can be deceiving.

No, and I am SOOOO happy to not have that gym. It was a fun ride but it was time to get off.
I'm doing well right now though. I took a break from fitness but I got back into it recently and I'm doing quite well with it. It's great not having the headache of a business with employees, overhead, rent, taxes, yada yada yada.... Had enough of that!
Now I'm in a really high-end niche and most importantly, I'm having FUN again.
