Default Im new....(pics inside)

Its taken me a while to find a forum where I can feel "at home" with, after visiting here a few times, it seems to be a great place. Although I seem to be a youngin, I hope that doesnt matter. First off I will start with a little about me and then add a couple pics.

My name is Carri, Im 22 from Illinois. I have always been pretty heavy but since my freshman year in high school have never been under 200lbs til now. At one point even got up to 265lbs and wanted to die. I have muscular dystrophy which makes extreme training a little rough but I do everything i can. I am a manager of a small 24hr gym, thus being one reason I want to continue my weight loss, not only because its horrible to be like this and work here, but my health and physical appearance as well.

I started losing weight last fall but only lost about 35lbs, I stopped working out over the winter when I seperated my knee. But from Jan to April I lost an amazing amount (to me) in a year (may 11th 07 to may 16th 08) I lost over 70lbs! from 265lbs to 191lbs now I dont have really really recent pictures but I will show you a few from about a month or so a go. i average about 2lbs a week, but I have hit a plateau and also have a stupid midsection that wont go away!!! its driving me nuts. Any tips or advice are welcome.

Me : New Years Day 07 (the fat one)

Me in april of 08 (sorry its not the best shot but you can still tell)

I want to lose another 50+ lbs and get down to 140ish. Im stuck right now though its got me depressed about never losing anymore weight and although I work out 6 days a week(cardio/weights) and eat healthy and in very moderate proportions, Im just stuck right now. I want to lose another 20ish by sept but that may be out of the question right now? Help, advice, comments on my pics....all welcome.

Welcome, Carri! Hang around a while....we'll help all we can. This is a great forum, more like a family in many ways.

so....welcome to the family!

Sorry I just got around to welcoming you. You are not part of the family and if you keep reading and posting (start a training log) you'll get to your goals.

hahaha.....no, that doesn't sound like Terry at all. I'm pretty sure he meant to type a "w" and not a "t". Therefore it should have read:

"You are NOW part of the family...."

And yes, welcome to the group Carri. There are many here that can help you and many more that can offer support (equally as important in my opinion).

Your post is 25 days old and you have only two posts so far.

You haven't given up already, have you? Talk is cheap. I hope you are lurking and trying to regain some motivation.
