Default Advice please...

I am completely new here and only found this forum by going to Google and asking the question I want to ask you guys.

I have always wanted to be a PT. You know how life gets in your way though .

I have been studying for the NASM certification for almost a year now . Well not really studying I started out strong but had a bad episode in my life and layed off for a few months.

I'm scheduled to take my test on Wednesday .

I am a smart woman and I just find it all overwhelming.

Ok the question already is ...is this test going to be as hard as I think it will be ? I'm considering not even taking it.

I've taken the practice exam 2x the 1st time I got 53 the next time 58

Opinions please, please

Based on your practice exam scores and recent loss of focus, I suggest you put off the exam.

Is there any way you can work with a tutor that specializes in training fitness professionals? I think some 1-1 work would really help you.

DOn't give up my girlfriend just had a similar experience with a different certifying agency and it is really hard when you don't get the results you think you should be able to accomplish.

Stay Focused, be positive and find a professional to work with in your area!

DeeVee, ask yourself this question. Would you want to hire a trainer who couldn't pass the NASM test? Not to be mean or imply that you're not smart, but you should try to be the trainer that you would want to hire... Someone who is committed, passionate, and driven.

Set a date for a month from now and buckle down and study until the day of the test, then ACE it! Keep in mind that your real education only begins after you're certified, so don't lay down after you get there. Keep cramming information into your brain while you work on your clients. They can be your little petri dish where you apply all the cool things you learn from places like this or from attending seminars (which I highly recommend).

Now go get 'em!
