Default A tough situation

Hey everyone, I am "graduating" this spring in May. But I still have a course to finish up. So I will not be a full time student, but a part time student. The only problem I have is I will not have and health benefits since I am only a part time student. I am in a little bit of a tough situation. I would liek to start my progress in becoming a nutrtionist, adn start paying off some college loans. So as you can see I am in a very tough spot.

1. I will not have finished up my degree till next winter, so I will not have any health benefits.
2. I need to start paying off my college loans.
3. I would like to start my progress toward becoming a nutrtionist.

So as you can see I am in a very difficult situation. Is there any job in this area of the business that I could get to start working, with health benefits, while finishing up my one last class????? Any help would be great, thanks.

If you are under the age of 26 (I think), you are still covered under one of your parent's insurance plan. Although, I can relate to your dilemma, I went close to 4 years without any insurance whatsoever....

I suggest looking into a fitness chain that offers limited health benefits for people working less than 25 hours weekly. They will be partial, but s little may help. I know if you are in CT, Healthtrax, Inc offers such a plan.

Can you take extra classes to qualify as a full time student?

Maybe there are some nutrition or training classes that you didn't get to take when getting your degree.

Internship. Maybe one with benefits?

I do have to say, that's the one nice thing about the school I'm at. Everyone HAS to take an internship to graduate. Gets you money, potentially benefits at some places, and experience all in one. So, does yours help with that sort of thing?

If you're at least taking 6 hours, you can still defer your loans, so if nothing else, adding a class in something interesting and useful not necessarily needed can help in that department.

I thought it was 25 for parents' insurance?

I went a long time without any insurance except for catastrophic insurance.
