Default So here's the deal!!!Advice Needed

I just got back from a three year hiatus in Asia and am an American moving to Vancouver with my gf. I have a pocket full of cash to hold me over for a few months. I am a certified personal trainer and also have my pilates certification. I had a little experience in Asia with personal training (basically with a couple of friends). I am looking for advice on how to get just one on one clients. I cannot get a job at the moment there, so I am just looking to get privates as much as I can.

Should I take ads out in the paper?? Distribute business cards?? If the client wants a session at a gym that I am not a member of, how do you go about covering the gym fees?? Like I said I am new to the business and just trying to get my feet wet. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like you might spend a little more time learning the craft and building references before attempting to support yourself w\ a 1 on 1 client base.

Why not try to get a job at a gym before going out on your own?
