Default Finishing college soon need a little advice/help

Hey everyone I am about to finish my senior year at Sacred Heart University with a degree in exercise science. I was planning on taking a year or so off so I could get a handle on paying back my loans.

I have a few questions

I am really interested in nutrtion...

1. What are the different options that I could take to making a living out of a nutrion career??

a. What are some jobs possiblities/directions that one could do if they were interested in nutrtion?

b. What are the degrees/certifications needed to obtain these careers??

Would it be a good idea to persue a master's degree or even a PhD???

Sorry for so many questions I am just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and not to sound like a sissy but I am getting sort of nervous.

I can see how you like nutrition - it's something I love to study too -

Sounds like becoming a nutritionist or dietitian would be the next logical step - here's a link with some info on that:

You might send a PM to Alan Aragon

(PM because he'll see it, not because you can't\shouldn't post the question)

Nothing to be nervous about! If you feel overwhelmed why don't you enroll in an online course or a distance learning course on Nutrition until you get over your jitters? There are alot of really good resources on the net, like Nutrition Courses, and you can always google more if you like. Good luck on you venture, man, hope this helps.

I'm interested too! I am a junior biochem major and have seriously considered going to med school, but I think a master's in nutrition or exercise science is more up my alley. I was thinking about getting a personal trainer certification for fun, because i love working out and love learning about fitness and nutrition, and maybe I could make a bit of money before I graduate. Then I was thinking of heading to tuft's where they have a really awesome master's of nutrition/MPH program. then who knows from there?!

The gym I work at, has a position that is the head of all the personal trainers, but before he had that job, which he obtained after he go a masters in kinesiology, he simply had a degree in nutrition, where he then worked in a hospital monitoring patients nutrition, and he also worked with children obesity projects. Why not get a PHD while working.
