Default Where do you buy your retail & display props?

I am looking to purchase a black, acrylic "contest box" for people to drop slips into requesting training consultations and such.

I have searched all over the net and cannot believe some of the prices I'm seeing (outrageously high, like $40/ 5x5x4 box).

Does anyone, by any chance, have a good (cheap) source for this type of stuff? Would be appreciated immensely.

It's always the little things that are the toughest to get done.

Record stores get them, labels have their reps drop them off for drawings and such. Maybe a local record store has one laying around from a past drawing that they might let you have?

Maybe you could make a neat one yourself out of glass and silicone sealant? Then spray paint the inside black. You can get cheap picture frames (even dollar stores sell them) and take the glass out of those.

Bally's and LA fitness are always leaving cardboard drawing boxes just about every retail place they can it seems. I doubt the retailer would notice/care if the stupid thing went missing... I always hoped someone would take/break/eat/lose the one that was on my counter at the camera shop.

You could always get a big glass jar with a metal lid, make a slot in the lid, paint the inside of the jar black.

Just ideas.
