Hey all:

I was wondering if anyone here has gotten cert'd through IYCA or if you have any comments on the certification. I am looking into this after I take the NSCA-CPT exam this summer...

Thanks.

Danny would be a good person to ask - e-mail him.

I think Hartman is on the board so he'd be another good one to ask. e-mailing him would be faster as I don't know if he checks these threads.

Were you lucky enough to be one of the first 500 to order the program? If not, you're hosed because it's not available anymore.

That is until they open it up for the next 100 orders. Then it'll be done.

Until they decide to open it up again.

I was actually looking into this too... working on a program for kids now and I think a youth cert would have been a great selling point. The ISSA and IFPA also have youth fitness certs, but they're in the $500 range. AFTA has one for under $200. I'll probably end up going with this one Youth/Adolescent Fitness Trainer, Youth Fitness Certification if I can't get Grasso's.

Lol at the marketing strategy. I am looking at taking it as I do agree with Brian's philosophy, and a cert would help strengthen my credibility. How much, I do not know.
