Default PT in Toronto or Canada

Hey everyone, have a PT job question I hope someone can help with.

I am returning home to Toronto after 5 years in the UK and I've been working as a PT for the last 2. My question if anyone can help is about PT in Toronto or even in Canada as far as how the larger gym chains here are for Pt or about individual gyms in Toronto.

I'm job hunting at the moment, however I think I was spoiled by my old gym where the rent per week was low and the gym let me do as I pleased. So if I work for something like Goodlife or some other chain what is the experience like (requirements, rent/pay?) Hope someone can help a little.
Cheers,
James

I work for Goodlife which is a huge chain in Canada. The pay is ok depending on your level that you are at. I work in a small town with only 1 GL and everything else in town is private.
I'm sure others will chime in but usually the big chains will just pay you a wage and smaller gyms or more independent gyms might work totally different.
Good luck!

Thanks for the response. I went to an info night on PT at goodlife. I'm looking to work full time during the summer and then part time in September when I go back to school. I've been working for 2 years as a self employed full time PT and think I might not enjoy the big chains, however if they offer a good environment and educational opportunities then I'd be interested. Have you found this to be the case?

Getting started might be hard specially in the summer it's the slow time here for gyms in general. I'm just new to PT but have worked at GL for a few years. I have an advantage that I've been an instructor for a few years so ppl really know who I am and some even have approached on their own about training.
They do give you sales leads and so on so you might find that helpful.
