For those that have in-door bootcamps, do you all use music? If so, what kind and where do you get it?

Bumping it up for those who might use music. Anyone know where to get decent fitness music (please god none of the pop shit you hear in most gyms).

Not sure if this will be relevant to what you are looking for but I have recently purchased Sirius Satellite Radio and I love it. There are well over 100 different commercial free radio stations to choose from all at a touch of a button. Everything from meditation music, dance music, 3 or 4 different country, 3 or 4 different hard rock, soft rock to heavy punk metal and all those in between. Depending on who my clientelle is and what they like to listen to I have the music. It's operated with a remote so if I need to slow things down I can just change the station or vice versa. I've had it for several months now and definitely no complaints.
I was using sirius online from a computer hooked up to a few wireless speakers. But then sirius started timing out if you didn't use the computer for an hour or so. So now I've switched to aol music, which I believe is xm, which is FREE! I use the workout station in the dance category, but that may be too poppy for ya. They have a ton of stations.
Yeah, better not play any music at your next dinner party, when the babysitter is in the house, or when driving the carpool.
He's actually right. There are two groups (ASCAB or something like that)I know of that charge you for the right to play even the radio in your business. They can't do it in a private residence, but they can with a business, especially with higher square footage and lots of foot traffic. They have a formula based on your square footage, so gyms make great targets for them.
It's a fucking joke, and those lawyers are the very epitome of everything there is to hate about lawyers, going after small businessmen like mobsters running a legal racket. They don't have anything else to do but harrass gym owners and sue people. As you can tell I have a great experience with them.
They act as if the artists are some sort of desperate pathetic losers who cry about all the money people are stealing from them by listening to their music on the radio. Complete and utter bullshit! Those musicians are desperate alright... for you to listen to their music on the radio. They WANT exposure. The only people who make money off this bullshit is the lawyers or the muzaak companies (they pay your fees as part of your fee to have them pipe music into your waiting rooms, elevators and yes, even your gyms).
See... I'm confused. Fair use is supposed to be that as long as you're not chargin fer the muzik, yer good. But then, pretty much anything the RIAA does confuses the hell out of me. I kinda like my lawyer, but I still pretty much believe all lawyers, esp corp lawyers, are total douchebags. Present company of any lawyers possibly excepted... depending.
Or... you can partner with another local small-business owner... there are usually up-and-coming wannabe musicians & producers around that would be happy to do a trade with you, or even to have the exposure of having their music played in public for free...
