Default NSCA CPT help

Hi All!

Ive been studying for the NSCA CPT exam and am hoping to take the CBT in a few weeks.

I am wondering if any of you NSCA CPT certified trainers have any final recommendations for me. Ive taken two of the practice exams and got 80% on the first one and missed passing on the 2nd one by two questions.

Im wondering how much about special populations do I need to know for the exam. Also, do I need to know any of the specific information from any of the tables in the text and if so which ones.

Any last minute insight would be greatly appreciated. I honestly dont want to fail because I would hate to have to wait 3 more months to be able to take this again.

Im solid on program planning, client consultation/asssessment and most of the legal stuff. I need to brush up on exercise techniques.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Best,

Jackson

Hey...sorry I haven't gotten back to your emails....I'm still studying. Two jobs, a family....when to study?

Good Luck!

I would wait until you are consistently passing the exams, honestly.

You state that you know you need to brush up on exercise techniques ... is that the section of the exam you are struggling with? I found the practice exams helpful, especially referring to the information listed when I got a question wrong.

Hey Rem & Julie -

Yes the areas that are being stated as needing work is exercise technique...the rest I get the proficient knowledge statement on the practice exams.

Is there much on the exams around special populations? I just feel like theres so much that this could be on. I dont just know the info for the exam for for the actual real world but I also dont want to overload my brain on stuff thats not going to be needed. Truthfully I have no intention on working with certain populations anyway so beyond just knowing the basics Im not interested but the exam may feel like I should have a deeper knowledge.

Help me out where you can.

Thanks

Jackson
