Default I need an example of a poorly designed gym web site

Anyone know of a particularly poorly designed web site for a gym/fitness center? I need one for a class. I'm using jpfitness.com as an example of a well-designed site, if that helps. THANKS!

Here's a local winner:

Jacksonville Fitness Center

Browse around a little. This site features escapees from the 80's, complete with clown pants and bad form. Not quite sure where they are going with most of their pages. There actual "information" stuff is cut and pasted from god knows where, written probably back when these guys got stuck in their Endless Loop of training concepts and fashion.

Here is their "star"... Some hyper-lordodic 19 year old with a fake rack and flabby arms, complete with the smoldering look in all of her photos.

Fun stuff.

How about this place:

Another local gem. Who designs these sites? Does this picture inspire you to want to join? An ugly metal building in a rural town with an empty parking lot.

My favorite is this picture from their personal training section:

Not sure exactly what exercise she's supposed to be doing, but the trainer is apparently expertly advising her to make sure to use her "core" (while staring at her fake rack).

I can't stop myself at this point.

From the Jacksonville site, some pictures from their personal training section:

Nothing an out of shape mother of three needs more than to sit on her ass in the gym and over stretch the shoulder capsules. And what's up with that guys professional uniform? Jeans and a tee-shirt?

I'm sure he's doing the near-surgery level task of counting to 15 for her (since she doesn't want to "bulk up"). What's that in his hands? Is he text messaging his girl friend?

What-EVUH!

This one makes me want to hurl a dumbbell at that idiots head! Oh great... You have an elderly client, which means put her on every machine and do the exercises sssuppper slow, because that's how you train old folks. As if the fact she's on a machine is not bad enough, he's got her on the lumbar disc evicerator 2000... Guaranteed to fuck up even a healthy back!

This guy's smiling -- from the tacky windowless office that apparently a status symbol that means he's higher on the food chain in this shallow PT gene pool -- because he just got another ignorant sucker who knows even less than he does to set an appointment with him. Goody, now that hapless sap will get to listen to this trainer talk about himself (how much he can bench, how many girlfriends he's picked up from the aerobics department, etc, etc... Ad nuseum). Lucky guy.

This is rich. Here is what they have to say under the "aerobics" section:
Quote:
Cardiovascular Fitness

The right way to burn body fat!

While working with the trainer you will be able to achieve and maintain the most effective workout possible.

Cardiovascular training allows the body to break down bodyfat by turning it into fatty acid, so it can be used as energy.

Notice they bring their starlet back, and showing a spread eagle no less. A poorly taken photograph of a not-so-hot-but-probably-smokin'-by-local-standards babe, pasted arbitrarily with... a treadmill.

I'm moved. At least, that's what I would be saying if they were the only gym in the area.

Here is what you get if you click on the freeweight shortcut. Three pictures of biceps curls. Yep, all of freeweights can be relegated to one exercse.

Free Weight Training

Nick's got to love the borderline mullet. I'm diggin' the clown pants and the weight belt. I'll leave the horrendous form alone as it's just too easy.

You want bad? Look no further than your local market people.

I donno if they have a website but there's a small local place here that has a sign out front advertising "personal trainers" and "stability ball" (yes, just one ball). :p

Is there a "buy tickets for the gun show" tab on that site?

Ha... I'm not much of a hater, but sites like these are pretty obnoxious. At least they have some entertainment value.

This is actually supposedly a good gym (never been there) but the site is terrible, and probably part of the reason i've never wanted to go there

This may not be too terrible, but if you look at the gallery, the place looks like chaos, without the crowd:

Tanning, Cardiovascular Equipment, Free Weights...
